Ariel Winter, born Ariel Winter Workman (Janurary 28, 1998) in Los Angeles California is an American performer, singer and voice actor. Ariel Winter made her debut acting as a performer at a young age and was featured in a Cool Whip advertisement when she was only six years old. She landed her first television role at age 7 appearing on an episode of the CBS comedy Listen Up!. Monk Bones followed, as did ER. Gretchen was the character she played in 2007 on the Disney Original Channel's animated series Phineas and Ferb. Her breakout performance in live-action came two years later as Alex Dunphy of the hit television series Modern Family. Along with her fellow cast members, she was awarded four Screen Actors' Guild Awards for their Outstanding Ensemble Performance in a Comedy Series.
