Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise, an American actor and writer, is best known for portraying Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island in the 1960s. In the 1950s, she started her professional career as an actor on stage with Bettle Davis' musical Two's Company. Thereafter she acted in numerous Broadway productions, before becoming big on the national theatre space with Li'l Abner' in 1957. She also released her first album of music, It's Time For Tina in the same year. Louise first appeared in Hollywood as Griselda Walden, in God's Little Acre, a drama from 1957. This film became hugely popular and Louise even won the Golden Globe Award at the New Star of the Award category. While in New York, Louise enrolled at Actors Studio and began her relationships to Lee Strasberg. Louise joined CBS in 1964, to play Ginger Grant. Louise had a long and successful career, balancing Broadway television with Hollywood as well as portraying a more serious, as opposed to the glamorous image that she was perceived. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The SG-1 series, as well as Helen Magnus on Sanctuary. In the last few years Tapping has also emerged as an acclaimed director of well-known TV series like Supernatural or The 100. Born in Essex Ontario, on the 28th August 1965, her family moved to Toronto when she was three. Her childhood was spent in Toronto and through her teenage years. Samantha Carter was chosen in 1997 for the part and she has settled down to Toronto since then.
